Samyama Fitness Limited

  • Booking
    • When we receive a reservation request from you we will make, subject to availability, a provisional booking using the details you provide to us.
    • Before accepting a provisional booking we will ask you to provide full details of each guest including their name, date of birth and a declaration as to their overall health and well-being (as well as informing us of any particular health conditions, injuries, illnesses or allergies, which includes food allergies).
    • Your booking is not considered definite and no contract will exist between you and Samyama Fitness until we accept the booking and receive full guest details and full payment in cleared funds from you.

 

  • Payment and Costs
    • Payments are accepted by electronic transfer (bank details will be provided to you upon request) or cheque made payable to Samyama Fitness.
    • A non-refundable deposit of 50% will be payable when we make a provisional booking; the balance will be due no later than 8 weeks prior to the retreat start date.
    • Subject to the cancellation provisions below, if full payment is not received by 8 weeks prior to the retreat start date then your provisional booking will be cancelled and the deposit will be forfeited.
    • Payment includes, unless otherwise specified at the time of booking, accommodation, breakfast and evening meals (vegetarian) for 6 days, use of retreat facilities, daily yoga and pilates classes. A provisional schedule of weekly activities will be available at the time of booking.
    • Optional additional activities are available and can be paid for upon arrival or just prior to the start of each activity (further details are provided in clause 3 below).

 

  • Optional Additional Activities (extra cost)
    • We offer guests the opportunity to participate in optional additional activities during their stay at the retreat if they wish, each of which incur an additional charge which must be paid in full prior to undertaking each activity.
    • Any such additional activities will be supplied by third parties and Samyama cannot accept any responsibility for any injury or illness you suffer as a result of participation in such activities. We require all guests to purchase their own travel insurance and recommend that you ensure it covers you for any additional activities you wish to participate in during your stay at the retreat.
    • The availability of additional activities will vary depending upon the date of the retreat and where appropriate, weather conditions. Details of the additional activities that will be available for your retreat will be provisionally notified at the time of booking and confirmed upon arrival.

 

  • Cancellations and Amendments
    • We understand that unexpected events occur, so if you need to cancel your booking for any reason then we ask that you inform us as soon as possible.
    • If you cancel your booking more than 4 weeks prior to the retreat start date, then we will refund any monies you have paid, less the non-refundable deposit of 30% (which we retain to cover the cost of administration).
    • If you cancel your booking less than 4 weeks prior to the retreat start date, then we will retain 100% of the monies you have paid, unless we are able to re-fill your booking with another guest(s), in which case we would retain only the non-refundable deposit and any shortfall (as we may have to offer a discounted rate to re-fill the booking at short notice).
    • If you need to change the details of your booking, for instance, the guests who are attending, then we may charge an additional administration fee of £40.
    • If the change involves a change in date of your retreat then this will be treated as a cancellation and clauses 4.2 and 4.3 will apply.
    • If for any reason you decide to leave before the end of the retreat then no refund will be payable.
    • Schedules of activities for weekly retreats are provisional and may be subject to change upon arrival or at short notice during the retreat, particularly where they involve outdoor classes, which will be weather dependent.
    • Sometimes events beyond our control happen, for instance war, or the threat of war, terrorist actions or threats, closure of airports, civil strife, industrial action, natural disaster, wild fires, technical problems with transport, staff cancellations, or other events we can’t plan for. If any of these events occurs then we may have to cancel your booking and we may not be able to provide you with a refund. (As outlined below in clause 5, we require guests to arrange their own travel insurance)

 

  • Travel Insurance
    • We require guests to arrange their own travel insurance and recommend that you ensure your policy covers any activities you intend to participate in during the retreat, as well as the usual cancellation, illness and loss (including theft) protection.

 

 

  • Travel Arrangements
    • You will be responsible for booking your own inbound and outbound flights as well as transfers to and from the retreat, unless otherwise agreed at the time of booking.
    • We cannot be responsible for any delay or cancellation of your flights or other travel arrangements you make directly with a carrier. We require all guests to arrange their own travel insurance and recommend that you ensure it covers cancellation and delay.
    • There is no parking at the accommodation.

 

  • Accommodation
    • Our beautiful villa, located at Villa Santa Ana, Cuesta de la Churra 12, Granada, Spain, is nestled in the foothills of the Alhambra Palace. It includes communal dining and lounge areas, terraces, a swimming pool, pergola and traditional Arabic gardens.
    • The villa accommodates up to 10 guests catering for single travellers, couples and small groups and includes single, double and twin rooms as well as a private apartment for groups of 4.
    • Supplements are payable for single travellers wishing to stay in double or twin rooms or groups of less than 4 wishing to stay in the private apartment.
    • Our villa is a tradition Moorish Carmen located directly below the Alhambra palace in a UNESCO world heritage site. As such the villa reflects this status in its rustic beauty. If you have any questions regarding the standard of accommodation you must ask the owners before booking
    • Due to the traditional nature of the accommodation we have only 1 ensuite room. In total there are 5 bedrooms with 4 bathrooms and an additional pool bathroom.

 

  • Your Health
    • During your retreat, you are invited to take part in our daily yoga and pilates classes as well as any optional additional activities you may choose (and for which additional payment is made). All activities are undertaken at your own risk. We do ask however that you provide a declaration as to your overall health and well-being at the time of booking and that you advise us of any particular health conditions, including pregnancy, injuries, illnesses or allergies (including food allergies).
    • Upon receipt of your declaration, we may recommend that you consult a doctor with an understanding of yoga and pilates prior to making any booking to ensure that you are sufficiently fit and healthy to take part in the classes and other additional physical activities that we offer.
    • Women who are 12 to 28 weeks pregnant should provide a letter from their healthcare practitioner specifying that they are fit to travel and able to take part in the activities that we provide.
    • If you think you may be pregnant at the time of booking, then you should consult your doctor prior to completing the booking; or if the booking has already been completed, then notify us as soon as possible once you have confirmed your pregnancy and prior to the retreat start date.
    • We may decline to accept your booking if we are concerned that the retreat could compromise your overall health and well-being due to a particular health condition, injury, illness or allergy.
    • Upon arrival at the retreat we will ask you to re-affirm your declaration of overall health and well-being and advise us of any particular health conditions, including pregnancy, injuries, illnesses or allergies (including food allergies) that may have arisen since the date of booking.
    • If you fail to inform us of any health conditions, injuries, illnesses or allergies either at the time or booking or upon arrival but which become apparent to us during your stay, we may advise you not to take part in any classes or activities, or in extreme circumstances we may ask you to leave the retreat and no refund will be payable.
    • If you experience any injury or discomfort during any activity at the retreat then you must desist and inform the instructor or a member of the retreat team. We may advise you not to take part in any further activities.
    • We will do everything we can to ensure a high standard of health and safety at the retreat but the villa is situated in the hills where there are steep slopes, steps and uneven ground. We cannot be responsible for any injuries sustained due to the local terrain.

 

  • Liability
    • We accept responsibility for fulfilling our contractual promises and in particular for providing facilities and classes including; a reasonable standard of accommodation at the retreat, clean and functional villa facilities, breakfast and evening meals for 6 days, and appropriately qualified yoga and pilates instructors.
    • We cannot accept responsibility for adverse weather. We will do our best to ensure that all scheduled activities proceed, but all schedules are provisional and may be subject to change at short notice, particularly if weather conditions prevent us from providing outdoor classes.
    • All activities are undertaken at your own risk. We cannot accept liability for any injury or illness you suffer as a result of taking part in any of the classes or additional optional activities we provide.
    • We do not accept responsibility for loss or theft and require guests to arrange their own travel insurance which provides adequate cover for cancellation, illness and injury.

 

  • Complaints
    • We hope that you will enjoy your entire experience with us from booking right through to your stay at the retreat and we aim to not only match but to exceed your expectations. If for any reason you are not satisfied or you feel that we could have done something better, then please do let us know by telling one of our team at the retreat or by emailing bookings@illustrioushomes.co.uk and we will do our best to deal with any issues that have arisen.

 

  • Privacy Policy 
    • We do not capture and store any personal information about individuals who access this website, except where you voluntarily choose to give us your personal details via e-mail or by enquiring about or ordering any of our services. In these latter cases, the personal information you give us is used exclusively by Samyama Fitness for providing you current and future information and any other services described in this website. We do not pass any of your personal data to outside organisations and/or individuals, except with your express consent.
    • Cookies are small encrypted data files (containing references to user ID information supplied by the user and stored on our secure server) that may write to your hard drive once you have accessed a site. If you prefer not to accept a cookie, you can set your web browser to warn you before accepting cookies or you can refuse all cookies by turning them off in your web browser. However, please be aware that you will not be able to place any orders unless the cookies are turned on.
